The Unified Social Service (USS) is a state body subordinate to the Ministry of Labor and Welfare of the Republic of Armenia. In cases and under the procedure prescribed by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia the USS provides services in the field of social security.

The Unified Social Service consolidates all 4 pillars of the social protection sector:

• Work and Employment
• Assessment of Person's Functionality
• Social Assistance
• Social Insurance

The Service administers the appointment and provision of pensions, benefits, and other monetary payments under social security programs; the assessment and fulfillment of social needs of individuals in difficult life situations; the creation of conditions aimed at ensuring sustainable employment; the assessment of personal functionality; the provision of assistive devices, and other related functions.

The Unified Social Service undertakes initiatives aimed at a more targeted and comprehensive assessment of the population's social needs, as well as enhancing and optimizing the efficiency of social work.

The unified system of social services enables enhancing the quality of social services and ensuring the provision of a diverse and comprehensive package of social services tailored to the social needs of the family.
