During his official visit to Armenia at the invitation of the Minister of Labor and Welfare, Arsen Torosyan, the Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Mikheil Sarjveladze, visited the Department for the Assessment of an Individual's Functionality and Provision of Assistive Devices of the Unified Social Service, where the new approach to assessing a person's functioning was presented.
The new system for assessing a person's functioning in Armenia allows for a holistic observation of an individual's needs—not only within the framework of a medical diagnosis but also in the context of their activities, participation, and environmental factors.
The assessment process comprehensive evaluates:
• Body functions and structures,
• Activities and participation,
• Environmental factors.
Based on the assessment results, an individual service plan is developed, incorporating services and measures tailored to the person's specific needs.
