When the medical or military-medical documents do not contain facts confirming a causal link, or data regarding the cause of the onset of disability is absent, the causal link of disability shall be determined as a general disease (with the exception of persons displaced from Karabakh and citizens of the Republic of Armenia who sustained injuries or wounds in Karabakh).

If documents confirming the causal link related to military service are absent for persons displaced from Karabakh and citizens of the Republic of Armenia who sustained injuries or wounds in Karabakh, the basis for determining the causal link shall be the information available regarding causal links in the state pension system database, the database of persons with disabilities, or the compensation system of the Servicemen's Insurance Foundation.
